A good rest stop as you bicycle from Grand rapids to Kalamazoo. Water and bathrooms.
Plus side: surface is recycled tires which is good for wheelchairs, strollers, bare feet, and falls. Wheelchairs do have access to several toys and there is a swing where a larger child can be buckled in.
Such a fun place for the children. During the hot Summers they have a water splash pad.
There's no separation between splash pad and playground so expect all the toys to be wet in the summer - which is really difficult for my son with sensory issues.
Splash pad, playground, picnic area, basketball court, tennis court, and access to restrooms in the summer.
And I do appreciate that the ground under the playset is a solid recycled rubber mat (I hated the wood chips growing up). They have several pavilions with grills.
Lots of parking, shade and picnic tables. In Michigan to visit grandparents. Wanted something close by for the kids to cool off and burn off energy. The splash pad and playground worked well. Definitely worth a couple of hours of time.
Fun soak pad and nice new equipment. Handicapped accessible swings and platforms. Lots of seating for adults.
The park is not fenced in and is right next to the road.
